Summary The Director of Decision Support is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis activities across the organization. The Director, under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for overseeing the following: decision support, cost accounting, financial planning and analysis including budget planning, forecasting, labor management, productivity assessments, cost savings initiatives, hospital wide analytics and to lend analytical support in areas of operation's through-put and market-share data. The Director will work closely with the Business Office in analyzing patient accounts receivable, identifying opportunities, including but not limited to cash collections, payor reimbursement, and accounts receivable aging. In partnering with the Accounting department staff, the Director also plays an integral role in preparing the operating budget along with required support schedules and contributing in the month-end general ledger close process by preparing a myriad of variance analysis schedules. This position works in concert with other leaders in establishing organizational objectives, developing strategic business plans, and identifying strengths and weaknesses to achieve business opportunities, growth, and financial profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Director will work with key departments to establish the annual operating and capital budget(s). Analyzes data for business plans and proposals for new or additional products and services. Key participant in the development of the long-range financial planning and supporting analysis. Works closely with Finance, Administrators, Directors and Managers in the Hospital and Clinics to provide accurate and timely analysis of operations and suggestions for improvement. Revenue and cost analysis. Business planning and assistance/validation of proposals for new business units or services. Analysis of volume trends, including revenue and expense variance analysis. Provides analytical and other analysis to support budgets, as needed. Creates dashboards, reports, and other tools to assist management decisions. Designs new workflows, systems, and processes and implements as necessary. Performs special projects as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Regulatory Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience for a healthcare corporation. 5 years in a Decision Support role preferred. Operational and capital budgeting experience preferred. Experience with leading / assisting and managing project timeline skills Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Advanced computer knowledge
