About the Role

As a Manager, Demand Planning you will support the Director, Planning and be an integral part of the Operations team at JPMS. You will be responsible for developing a demand plan utilizing consumption input, sales input, statistical models, historical sales data, trade inventory assumptions and channel inputs. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Accounting in resolving any discrepancies in volume/revenue assumptions against the operational demand plan. Additionally, you will analyze assumptions received from commercial teams and other supply chain peers to determine its relevance and value to the total Category Demand Plan.

What You will Do:

  • Maintain SKU, regional and channel forecasts on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Increase demand forecasting accuracy by removing forecast bias, utilizing robust analytics, and reviewing brand and market trends
  • Deliver forecast accuracy and bias KPI's to meet annual targets
  • Monitor performance against the forecast throughout the month identifying any key shifts or trends
  • Analyze forecast variation/deviation with the goal of minimizing service issues and preventing the build of excess & obsolete inventory
  • Support the development and implementation of new systems, processes, models, and KPI performance reporting tools
  • Manage the product range inclusive of product life cycle
  • Analyze and interpret SKU effectiveness and efficiency, guide/drive SKU rationalization
  • Partner with key parties to gather forecast inputs based on functional expertise
  • Influence and drive alignment with Marketing, Sales, Customers and Finance to create new product launch forecasts
  • Merge business knowledge and expertise with statistical models to enhance the forecast while integrating input from Sales, Marketing, and other key stakeholders
  • Drive best in class service through demand planning excellence, sharing ownership of company service level performance
  • Monitor inventory levels and aid in deciding how to properly allocate among customers and regions
  • Manage and input inventory and other supply related information in customer portals
  • Focus on these key metrics: improved inventory $ and backorder $

Requirements:

What You'll Need:

Skills:

  • Strong background in understanding the correlation of finance, demand planning, and sourcing
  • Strong analytical experience in MS Office Applications, including Microsoft Dynamics
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic analytical environment.
  • Extensive spreadsheet experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret substantial amounts of data required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations or related discipline required

Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven success in demand planning management experience
  • Consumer Priced Goods (CPG) Industry experience strongly preferred
  • Beauty industry experience a plus

Competitive Compensation:

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education.
  • Discretionary Bonus Plan: This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
