Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Manager, Departmental Operations to join our IS team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of IT assets, overseeing departmental business operations, and ensuring the smooth onboarding of new hires. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain an asset management process that tracks the lifecycle of end-user IT equipment and expands to all IT assets.
  • Produce, manage, and report on the IS Department line-item budgets, spends, contracts, agreements, etc.
  • Manage the proactive refresh program for the department's capital and operating hardware spends.
  • Organize purchases of end-user hardware equipment.
  • Oversee the selection, inventory, and distribution of laptops and desktops.
  • Manage the selection, inventory, and distribution of end-user hardware.
  • Manage the firm's mobile communication equipment, contracts, invoices, and billbacks.
  • Printer fleet management.
  • Supervise employees and contractors related to end-user hardware support operations.
  • Manage a documented, coordinated new hire onboarding process that accommodates firm needs and works within IS Department staffing, Monday to Friday, 9-5. Engage with new hires to ensure a smooth onboarding process and ensure the return of equipment for departing employees.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT asset management and business operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in asset management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
