Essex Brownell owns and operates distribution centers in 11 states, as well as Mexico and Canada, to ensure that no matter where you are we can help facilitate prompt delivery of products to go right into your manufacturing lines.Essential Duties:Responsible for daily operational management of a Regional Distribution Center (RDC) while supporting operational requirements of assigned warehouse locations (Eastern / Western Warehouses). Support may include on-site management when needed, guidance to solve problems and issues as they arise, and ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures.Responsibilities:
  • Provides supervision and direction to assigned warehouse locations.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling operating budgets within the network.
  • Work with Director, Logistics to develop capital spending plans.
  • Involved in employee hiring process as needed.
  • Perform on-site audits to ensure fulfillment of company policies, safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Involved in lease negotiations as needed.
  • Understanding of customer and market expectations in relationship to each location's product groups.
  • Provide insight and participation in Supply Chain studies.
  • Determine corrective action response to failures arising through the Supply Chain (warehousing and transportation).
  • Provide monthly location / warehouse updates.
Education and Experience:
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Logistics, Business or equivalent
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong leadership with the ability to get results.
  • Ability to manage within a multiple location network
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, and team-building skills.
  • Warehouse Management System experience preferred
  • Demonstrated personal computer proficiency. Strong interpersonal and team-building skills. High initiative and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
