Job Description:

Addison Group's client is actively searching for a new Manager, Employee Learning and Development to join the team! Our client is a mid-size healthcare non-profit based in the Erie, PA area and this position will be fully in office. This is a permanent role with a salary up to $85,000 based upon experience. In this role you will be responsible for managing a small team of 3-5 individuals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training new hires, implementing training activities, evaluating performance, and increasing employee retention. Responsibilities

Leadership:

  • Drive department goals through effective staff management.
  • Recruit, train, and develop employees through coaching and performance assessment.
  • Set team and individual goals by analyzing business and operational data.
  • Communicate expectations through meetings and coaching sessions.
  • Plan team needs, manage budgets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Act as a resource to support staff and resolve challenges.
  • Build collaborative relationships with senior management and other departments.
  • Manage vendor relationships for outsourced training.
  • Stay current with industry trends through professional development.

Employee Development:

  • Lead and modernize employee development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification training requirements.
  • Partner with managers to identify and address job-specific training needs.
  • Develop and implement innovative training programs using best practices.
  • Collaborate on instructional materials and learning resources.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in cross-departmental planning to advance the organization's mission.
  • Review and improve training effectiveness through evaluations and performance metrics.
  • Update standard operating procedures to ensure consistency.
  • Support staff through change management initiatives with communication and skill-building strategies.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development or business or related field or equivalent work experience is required. Master's Degree is preferred.

· At least 6 years related experience required.

· At least 3 years of leadership experience is required.

· Certified Professional in Talent Development (ATD-CPTD) and/or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

● Experience independently leading training and development activities for an organization

● Strong presentation and facilitation skills

● Experience developing curriculum and deliver effective training programs

● Strong coaching experience with both managers and individual contributors

● Demonstrated ability to plan and implement projects with a documented approach

● Ability to exercise leadership skills through cross-team collaboration

● Ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

● Superior attention to detail and ability to accurately navigate a large and complex organization

● Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to adjust communications according to the audience

● Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

● Strong management and leadership skills

● Strong sense of ownership and ability to motivate a team to achieve objectives
