Manager, External Manufacturing & Inventory Management Job Summary (Primary function) The Manager, External Manufacturing & Inventory Management is responsible for overseeing packaging activities and managing Finished Goods inventory for commercial products distributed in North America. Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities) Establishes and maintains a strong relationship with Contract Packaging Organizations (CPO) in order to execute all planned activities in a timely manner. Prepares and recommends operating plans with CPO counterparts for packaging activities to ensure that forecast / purchase order delivery dates are met. Sets goals with CPOs for schedule attainment and measures performance monthly. Act as key contributor in the implementation of new, and the improvement of existing, supply chain planning tools and systems. Execute month-end inventory reconciliation and participate in the Financial close process. Liaison between Contract Manufacturing Organizations/Contract Packaging Organizations and Accounts payable department to resolve any discrepancies regarding outstanding invoices. Plans and manages all domestic shipments for finished goods in support of U.S. Commercial Supply Chain activities. Manages relationship and all inventory related issues at Incyte's Third Party Logistics Providers (3PL). Assists with SAP transactions; enter and or verifies supply chain downstream transactions in SAP including Goods receipts, Stock transport orders, etc. Manage all new and ongoing serialization activities for U.S. products. This include ensuring compliance with all DSCSA requirements. Facilitate activities associated with labeling and artwork design for commercial products, and with revisions for existing products. These activities are performed in cooperation with Incyte's Global Labeling and Artwork Department. Initiate and follow change controls or deviations related to downstream supply chain activities. Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency) BS degree in relevant field required. MBA or MS is a plus. Minimum 3 years (with MS) / 5 years (with BS) experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry preferred. Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging operations preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, build strong relationships, and resolve conflict. External Vendor management experience / customer relations experience. Experience in ERP / Inventory Management in a global environment is preferred.
