Business Unit: Infectious Disease - Lateral Flow
Location: Westbrook, Maine
Role Overview: The Manager, Facilities will provide strategic leadership by overseeing the Facilities team, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves coordinating with external vendors and contractors and maintaining the financial budget of the Facilities Department.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Oversee daily operations of all company facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Develop and maintain a critical spare parts inventory.
- Implement and maintain maintenance schedules for all building systems.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors and contractors to ensure quality work.
- Prepare and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations through regular safety inspections and audits.
- Establish standards for pass-down communication, escalations, and work order prioritization.
- Ensure critical equipment calibrations are performed.
- Manage preventative maintenance work order completion.
Supervisory Responsibilities:- Plan and oversee facility-related projects, including renovations, expansions, and relocations.
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance and facilities staff, providing training, support, and regular performance evaluations.
- Ensure cohesive communication across all supporting shifts.
Competencies:- Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and solve problems in the field by analyzing the root cause of issues.
- Decision Making: Ability to independently make decisions and delegate tasks to team members.
- Communication: Ability to effectively convey complex information to team members, senior leadership, and external vendors.
Physical Demands:- The position of Facilities Manager includes performing the following physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation, related to essential job functions:
- Regularly traverse large areas of production floors.
- Regularly ascend/descend ladders to service or inspect equipment components.
- Regularly operate office technology.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRINGREQUIRED:- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment.
- Thorough knowledge of building systems, controls, HVAC, and project management.
Preferred- Maximo or similar CMMS certification.
- In-depth knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 - $190,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
