Job Summary: The Manager, Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in driving financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making processes between Finance and the Engineering and Capital Programs department to ensure cross-business alignment. The position will lead a dynamic team providing guidance and support to ensure accounting and financial transactions are fully understood and correctly recorded within our financial systems for accurate and insightful reporting. This role requires a strong background in financial analysis, leadership skills, and the ability to drive strategic decision-making.This position will also require a full understanding of FEMA's recovery rules and aligning those with execution processes and financial transaction understanding.

- Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to team members.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Conduct in-depth financial modeling and analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Provide insightful recommendations for improving financial results and cost efficiencies.
- Monitor and assess key performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Assist in the recovery of FEMA project expenditures and ensure they are compliant with the FEMA reimbursement process.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget variances and provide insights to optimize financial performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial analysis and reporting.
- Communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and reports to communicate financial insights to leadership.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure financial compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Perform major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned or needed.
Additional Job Description: Education and experience:- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role with demonstratable leadership experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- FEMA disaster recovery knowledge and experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and completeness of data.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Oracle's ERP systems.
- Experience in regulated utility accounting preferred
- Experience with Excel based reporting software (SmartView, GL Wand, Power BI, etc.) preferred.
- Fluent in Spanish and English with the ability to read, write and speak is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:- Valid Driver's License
- CPA or CFA or other designations would be considered a plus.
