Job Summary

Supervises the financial reporting function of GuideStone including external financial statement preparation and internal management reporting. Supervises, directs, and trains reporting staff to produce timely and accurate reports that meet the needs of GuideStone executives, management, and trustees. Coordinates the external audit during its execution and assists in its planning throughout the year by implementing changes to GAAP and assuring good internal controls. Leads monthly financial statement presentations for management including presentation design and staff resource coordination. Coordinates effort with Tax and Compliance Specialist concerning GuideStone's compliance with applicable GAAP, FASB, and other guidelines. Coordinates F&A budgeting process and reporting.

  • Coordinate GAAP recommendations and implementations
  • Coordinate GuideStone budgeting process and reporting
  • Supervise staff and assist in preparation of financial presentations
  • Special projects
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • What You'll Need
  • CPA license preferred.
  • CFP license preferred.
  • Systems knowledge including general ledger and financial reporting with interfaces to other record-keeping systems.
  • CPA with knowledge of FASB, GAAP, taxation, budget preparation, and management reporting.
  • Management skills for supervising professional staff.
  • Capable of working with senior managers to supply meaningful management data.
  • Ability to work with I.S. and other technical staff to develop and support all required financial systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead toward improved quality for department's reporting function.
  • Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
