Requisition ID: 33562 Location: Houston, US, 77056 What You Can Expect As our Manager, Forecasting & Portfolio Analytics, you will lead a team of experts to deliver precise and timely electricity load and revenue forecasts. Your efforts will directly support critical business operations, including Portfolio Management, Settlements, Billing, and Leadership, making this a unique opportunity to influence our strategic decisions and enhance our market position. Additionally, you will collaborate closely withEuropean colleagues to ensure consistency and leverage innovative approaches across all of GEMS. This role is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Port and Load Forecasting Director. Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor the Forecasting Operations Team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Forecast Delivery: Provide accurate load and revenue forecasts to stakeholders, including backcasts, short-term, medium-term, long-term, and scenario forecasts.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and trust in forecast products.
  • Data Management: Oversee the end-to-end forecasting process, including data gathering, forecast creation, and performance assessment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance forecasting models, processes, and data quality, incorporating machine learning techniques where applicable.
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with partners to diagnose and resolve production system issues and implement product enhancements.
  • Support: Assist the Portfolio Management Team and other business units with expertise, analysis, and load forecasts. What You'll Bring
    • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Math, or related field where you gained an understanding of complex problem-solving, data analytics, and the application of quantitative techniques to real-world scenarios.
    • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the corporate environment.
    • A minimum of five (5) years of business experience in electricity markets.
    • Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and statistical skills.
    • A proficiency in MS Office, data visualization (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), SQL, Python, cloud computing, and machine learning modeling techniques.
    • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, allowing for a mix of remote work and in-office presence.
    • Must be available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips.
    • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies. Compensation Salary Range: $128,400 - $179,655 USD annually This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
