POSITION OVERVIEW
The Manager for Fundraising Data & Donor Analytics is a member of the Institutional Advancement (IA) department, serving as the primary source of all data reporting, cataloguing, extraction, and analysis related to annual, planned and major donors; individual, library, and corporate memberships; fundraising events; institutional public and private grants; and direct response production, leveraging strong ability with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Marketing Cloud, MS Office, and other tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- This position serves as the primary strategist for the use of fundraising data within the Salesforce software for the IA department, other internal teams and outside vendors.
- Together with IT and Finance, the incumbent manages the flow of information into and out of Salesforce, related to donors, donations, memberships, prospects, events participants, and other key areas of record.
- The Manager serves as the departmental power user of Salesforce NPSP and, in partnership with IT, manages user privileges of the database as well as the configuration of all fundraising campaigns, projects, and events. Provides basic Salesforce training to Corporate Giving, Museum Membership & Annual Giving, Institutional Gifts & Grants, and Events personnel.
- Collaborate with IA staff on all data storage, structure and reporting related to direct mail and digital giving, corporate memberships, preferred listings, grant tracking, primary contact assignments, and other data matters.
- Manages coding, structure, consolidation, import and export, segmentation, standardization, and hygiene of fundraising data flowing into and out of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud.
- Manages reporting from Salesforce related to fundraising, communications, prospecting, membership, events, relationships, accounting reconciliation, and other pertinent constituent information tracking and analysis.
- Provides regular and customized financial and constituent-related reporting to EVP, Chief Advancement & Communications Officer, Vice Presidents, Directors and others within IA.
- Provides regular, intermittent annual review and analysis of results and trends in Membership and other areas of fundraising and outreach.
- Manages, troubleshoots, and works to resolve data and database issues, duplications, incongruities, and complexities in conjunction with fundraising data, escalates issues to IT and Finance when necessary.
- Works in conjunction with IA, Finance, and IT to improve and streamline data flow including recommending and testing tools, processes, and procedures for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
- Supports and consults with IT and outside agencies on updates/upgrades of the Salesforce NPSP software.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

- 3+ years' experience working with Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack, Nonprofit Cloud, or comparable donor software in a large, member-centric environment
- Experience in donor services and fundraising data collection and analysis.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- Experience with donor database configurations, adhering to business rules, data structure, and best practices.
- Experience with data configuration and analysis in digital marketing tools like EveryAction, Marketing Cloud, Constant Contact, for example.
- Data Entry experience required.
- Relevant experience with high transactional volume activity.
- Ability to design, customize and consolidate reports from multiple database platforms.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks in a timely and organized manner.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Possesses an analytical skill set.

REQUIRED SUPPORT FOR ORGANIZATIONAL EVENTS
- Participate in the Annual 5K Fundraiser and 9/11 Commemoration, as assigned.
- Assist with other special projects and events in support of 9/11 Memorial & Museum, as assigned.
