JOB SUMMARYThe Home Health Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, provision and supervision of care and services and regulatory compliance. By maintaining expert knowledge of regulations and applying this knowledge to care, the Manager utilizes strong critical thinking skills and organizational resources to supervise and support the clinical staff, understanding the influence the OASIS instrument has on quality and financial outcomes, as well as compliance. This position works both independently and interdependently, and is skilled in communicating effectively with coworkers and other departments to accomplish necessary functions. This position performs duties in the uncontrolled environment and dynamics of private homes and travel hazards; requiring strong critical thinking to assure safety.
JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONFor positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred/Optional: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
EXPERIENCE Minimum Required: Two or more years' clinical experience in home care, hospice, acute care or nursing home setting.
Preferred/Optional: Coding certification and/or leadership experience in one or more areas of home care, hospice, acute care or nursing home setting.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: - Current Applicable State Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
- Valid applicable state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Proof of vehicle insurance.
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
