Job Summary:

Under supervision of the Professional Services Director, this role will be responsible for both development of customer implementations as well as leading and managing assigned staff to ensure that the projects within their portfolio are deployed on-time, on-budget, and with high customer satisfaction by working with the project team to accurately forecast their projects. In addition, this role will be responsible for the training and development of assigned staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee a team of Data Solutions Engineers throughout their career journey, including recruitment, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Develop solutions using programming skills primarily around complex SQL queries and database schema investigation.
  • Identify, debug and resolve errors, provide support, and develop procedures to navigate complex system overlaps.
  • Have a deep understanding of the entire application lifecycle, web services and related databases.
  • Proactively drive quality through code reviews, best practice enforcement and coaching.
  • The job is a mix of managing a team and implementation development.
  • Identify early signs of project and customer risks, develop suitable risk response strategies, and visit customer sites to maintain relationships and project progress.
  • Conduct portfolio forecasting, monitor budget health and project delivery, collaborate with leadership to ensure team skills meet business needs, and analyze trends impacting project efficiency.
  • Schedule projects, plan resources, manage impacts on staffing, utilize metrics, and report effectively.
  • Work with customers during all phases of a project from pre-sales to post go-live support.
  • Ability to obtain a solid understanding of product requirements and customer problems.
  • Maintain a utilization target on each project, for yourself as well as your team, to help ensure a successful and consistent project deployment.
  • Assist clients with developing and executing testing plans and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to customers on best practices and use cases to support a variety of business needs.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large data sets.
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience demonstrating the ability to perform the above responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in a people management role.
  • 2+ years experience with Integrations and ETL.
  • Adeptness at writing actionable bug reports using software such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Experience working with clients at all organizational levels with a high degree of professionalism and business acumen.
  • Provide technical leadership for the team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on fostering team culture, accountability, development, and growth.
  • Results-oriented with strong people and time management skills, highly organized, motivated and driven to succeed.
  • Teamwork-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business development.
Preferred Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience working in professional services.
  • API development experience.
  • Experience with Agile & Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to learn domain, products, and project delivery effectively.
  • Ability to articulate process logic and architecture including building and delivering functional presentations.
  • Strong ability to understand and conceptualize product suite processes and procedures.
  • Capacity to adapt to evolving products and address customer needs strategically.
  • Strong track record of motivating self and teams toward excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance profitability with customer-service mindset.
  • Experience with government budgeting concepts, finance/budgeting solutions, procurement, permitting, licensing, asset management or other related fields is advantageous.
$120,000 - $140,000 a yearOn target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
