Leading the development and implementation of institutional events across all three FRCC campuses, you will handle planning, coordination, and marketing support for events organized by various college departments.As part of the Strategic Marketing and Communications Division, you will work with the marketing team and other FRCC teams to create branded experiences that further the college's mission. Collaborating with key events staff, you will ensure the smooth implementation of successful events, including President-level events, campus celebrations, Foundation & Community Partnerships signature events, and major ceremonies like Commencement and In-Service.As the Manager of Institutional Events, you will be responsible for strategic institution-wide events that affect FRCC's reputation, partnerships, and employee engagement. You will collaborate closely with internal divisions such as the Office of the President, Foundation & Community Partnerships, Enrollment Management & Student Success, Equity & Inclusion, and Organizational Development & Human Resources. Together, these teams set goals, develop plans, and build consensus among senior leadership.You will bring effective communication, project management, critical thinking, decision-making, and resourcefulness to this role. In your application please include a resume and cover letter that specifically addresses how your background and experience align with requirements, qualification and responsibilities of the Manager of Institutional Events.Description of JobPrimary Duties* Serves as college contact for Institutional Events, such as Commencement, In-Service, Breakfast of Opportunity, Foundation Golf Tournament, CCCS-related events, Equity & Inclusion Summitothers, whilemaintaininga college-wide event calendar that includes all major events happening across FRCC's three campuses.* Serves as co-strategist and planner, directing high-impact campus community events and celebrations such as In-Service, Commencement, Equity Summit, Annual Golf Tournament, End of Year Celebrations, AwardCeremoniesand events in collaboration with Colorado Community College System (CCCS) and more.* Ensures that institutional events are completed professionally and successfully by coordinating event detailsin a timely mannerand promoting the college's mission and brand through effective marketing implementation.* Coordinates with teams across FRCC to co-lead an event request and management process, including review, approval, and tracking of events happening on and off campus.* Collaborates with all areas in the marketing division to create creative assets, plan communications, update signature event web pages andmaintainpostings in the college calendar.* Tracks progress of planning tasks in Wrike, our departmental project management software.* Evaluates the success of events andmonitorevent budget expenditures to ensure financial accountability and effective resource allocation.Required Competencies* Event Planning Skills:Strong proficiency in planning and completing a variety of events, including student-oriented activities, workshops, fundraising, and budget management for events.* Creativity:Generate creative ideas for events and promotions that engage and resonate with students and the community.* Operational Planning:Turn the strategic plans into an operational roadmap that guides the division.
