Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

* The Instrument Room Manager has 24-hour responsibility for directing and coordinating the activities of Instrument Room Attendants engaged in preparation of sterile instruments.

* The Instrument Room Manager participates in the budgetary process; tracks and reports instrument expenditures.

* Establishes and implements auditing and management strategies to assure that instruments are available and in working condition.

* Maintains sterile processing records according to AORN an AAMl standards.

SCHEDULE: 7 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

* CRCST certification required.

* High School diploma or GED required.

* Associate degree preferred.

* Five years of Sterile Processing or related experience required.

* Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
