+ Job Summary :
+ The Manager IS Applications is responsible for the successful implementation, ongoing maintenance, support and enhancement of electronic health record systems used by the acute and ambulatory teams of CalvertHealth (CH). This position provides project management on assigned mission critical applications which supports CH business strategies, mission and vision. Provides coaching and leadership to assigned staff and interdisciplinary project teams in fulfilling this responsibility. The Manager IS Applications has a lead role in the Information Technology (IT) governance structure.
+ Education :
+ Bachelor's Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, Nursing, Medical Technology, Business Administration, Project Management or related field, required. Master's Degree, preferred.
+ Registration/Certification/Licensure :
+ Certification or credentialing in a relevant healthcare clinical field or information technology discipline preferred.
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred.
+ Unexpired, unsuspended driver's license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.
+ Experience :
+ Three years prior experience implementing and supporting practice management and ambulatory electronic health record systems or acute care information systems is required. Five years preferred. Prior experience implementing EHR systems is required. Significant exposure and knowledge of healthcare operational, clinical, and financial procedures and awareness of how, when, and to what extent healthcare entities require communication and share common data is desired. Workflow analysis and process reengineering required. Project leadership experience required. Training will be provided by CH to supplement educational and experience qualifications and to orient and gain proficiencies required to fulfill job responsibilities.
+ Other Requirements :
+ Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
+ Effectively communicates with all staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.
+ Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements (Microsoft Office Products including Microsoft Project).

+ Ability to occasionally work other shifts, holidays, and weekends to fulfill responsibilities and maintain support for CalvertHealth's practice systems. There is also a requirement to serve on a rotating on-call schedule to assure systems support during off hours and holidays.
