Graco is part of your daily life.The Manager, IT Quality Assurance will be responsible for leading a centralized Quality Assurance function tasked with ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products and services across Graco's technology teams. This is a highly cross-functional and collaborative leadership role expected to partner across the technology organization and business teams to build a comprehensive QA strategy, and lead the implementation and delivery of QA practices, processes, and tools. This role requires a strong background in software engineering, test management and delivery, quality engineering, and test automation.What You Will Do at Graco Quality Assurance Leadership
  • Lead the build-out and progression of a QA Center of Excellence (CoE) and provide leadership and direction to a team of QA resources including analysts, testers, and automation engineers.
  • Develop and implement QA processes, standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
  • Manage QA platforms and tools including test management, defect management, performance testing, and test automation tools.
  • Oversee the management of testing environments across enterprise systems.
Test Strategy and Execution
  • Create comprehensive test strategies and plans aligned with project goals.
  • Responsible for test management and execution across all quality domains including functional, regression, usability, performance, stress, load, and volume testing.
  • Lead large testing efforts for IT projects spanning across enterprise applications, infrastructure platforms, data and analytics platforms, cybersecurity initiatives, and purpose-built solutions.
  • Ensure end-to-end test coverage for software releases across all technology projects, products, and feature releases.
  • Oversee test case development, execution, and defect management.
  • Drive test automation initiatives to improve efficiency and test coverage.
Quality Analysis and Reporting
  • Triage and analyze defects to identify gaps in test coverage and process improvements.
  • Define and track key quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Report product health based on data gathered during release checkpoints.
  • Provide regular status updates and quality reports to stakeholders across technology and business teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, and operability are addressed.
  • Participate in efforts to standardize the QA toolset, including defect tracking and test case management.
Team Leadership and Financial Management
  • Lead, mentor, manage, and staff an IT Quality Assurance team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
  • Establish, manage, and be accountable for the annual team budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with organizational strategic objectives.
What You Will Bring to Graco
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree in related field is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance domain.
  • 2+ years of experience in a QA leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of software development processes and testing methodologies spanning functional, regression, usability, load, stress, performance and security testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Appium.
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling.
  • Experience with test management platforms such as TestRail, QTest, OATS (Oracle Apps Test Suite).
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • ISTQB, QAI, or other relevant QA certifications.
  • Experience in implementing continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills.
