This position develops and implements data-informed academic support initiatives in collaboration with administration, faculty, and staff across campus. This position is also responsible for analyzing service usage data; training, scheduling, and supervising staff; and ensuring effective and efficient operations.Duties include but are not limited to:Manage and mentor a team of academic tutors.Coordinate with faculty, administrators, and staff to identify and address student needs and learning challenges.Develop, implement, and assess data-informed learning initiatives, programs, and workshops that enhance student academic skills and success.Oversee the design and execution of tutoring services and supplementary instruction.Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Participate in college committees and workgroups related to student success and academic support.This is an exempt, professional staff position and includes a comprehensive benefits package offering medical, dental and vision coverage; generous paid time off; tuition assistance; and retirement savings.Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position.Required EducationBachelor's degree in a related field required.Required ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in academic support services and 2 years of supervisory experience.Required Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAbility to supervise operations of the Learning Center, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff, delegating workloads, and monitoring equipment.Ability to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.Ability to assist with budgetary functions.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Experience developing and implementing academic initiatives and workshops.Ability to collect, analyze, and use data to drive decision-making.Proficiency with educational technologies and online learning platforms.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in a related field.Experience working in academic support services for a community college.Tutoring experience.Hours per Week40 - 100%General Weekly Work ScheduleMonday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and evening hours may be required at specific times of the semester.
