Facilities & Maintenance ManagerPOSITION SUMMARY: Plan, organize, coordinate, and control the activities of the maintenance department to ensure the reliability of all plant equipment and utilities. In coordination with the site EH&S Manager, actively support all safety and environmental related initiatives to enhance the safety of plant personnel. This is a day-shift position.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and control the maintenance department to assure the total maintenance function.
- Ensure that the facility and all production equipment is maintained and in proper running order to meet the schedules of the company.
- Establish and maintain a scheduled preventive maintenance system for all production equipment and facility systems.
- Establish inventory and maintain required spare parts in advance of required machine repairs and scheduled maintenance
- Create and manage a maintenance budget that includes all costs associated with the maintenance of facilities and production equipment.
- Staff and lead salaried and hourly maintenance employees. Provide coaching and counsel direct reports and recommend disciplinary action when necessary.
- Provide the proper instruction, counseling, and training for assigned personnel. Ensure employees are fully qualified in their job classifications.
- Ensure a safe workplace through enforcement of safety policies and timely response to potential or actual hazards.
- Assist in evaluation of equipment availability losses due to planned and unplanned maintenance down time.
- Participate on the plant Safety Committee.
- Provide technical and regulatory consultation to the plant for industrial hygiene and safety issues.
- Conduct periodic inspections of the plant for OSHA, Codes and NFPA compliance and best management practices relative to safety.
- Experience with Large Mechanical & Hydraulic Presses and/or Controls
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Thorough knowledge of industrial facilities and equipment, a broad understanding of manufacturing maintenance requirements, and thorough understanding of skilled maintenance trades.
- Strong knowledge and abilities related to safety procedures to function effectively.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
EDUCATION: Minimum of five years of industrial maintenance supervisory experience and trades training in shop practices and OSHA compliance. Formal technical/college education beyond high school is preferred.In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $140,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location.
