SummaryThe primary responsibility of the Maintenance Manager is to oversee the maintenance operations of Allen Harim. This role involves managing maintenance staff, ensuring the upkeep of equipment and facilities, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of assets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Vision, Missions, and Values of Allen Harim
- Develop and implement action plans to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and facilities
- Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency and impact on operations
- Ensures all maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and incompliance with regulatory standards
- Plans and controls the workflow for the Maintenance Department, ensuring that all assignments are completed timely and accurately and that all resources dedicated to the department are utilized properly.
- Maintains a safe working environment by ensuring equipment in good working order.
- Manages preventive maintenance program including a cost history on all equipment.
- Ensures that all required parts, supplies and materials are in inventory when needed.
- Oversees usage of water, electric and fuel oil.
- Maintains permits for all pressure vessels throughout the facility.
- Recommends new equipment purchases when necessary.
- Maintains accurate records of equipment purchase, maintenance and history.
- Works closely with corporate engineers to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Provides training for maintenance personnel as required.
- Develops solutions to maintenance problems that arise ensuring that chain speed remains at 100% and costs are controlled.
- Leads and supervises the maintenance team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure high standards of work quality and safety
- All other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Five years of Maintenance experience in poultry or food manufacturing settings
- High School Diploma, College Degree (e.g., engineering, facilities management) is preferred
- Requires the ability to make decisions and remain calm under high stress situations
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees as well as outside vendors and government agencies
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong technical and mechanical skills
- In depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and best practices
- Exceptional organizational, record keeping, and follow-up skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of attention to detail

- Must have the ability to enter all areas of the plant and offices being exposed to temperatures (hot and cold) as well as exposure to different levels of noise
- Must be able to walk upstairs, climb and crawl in confined spaces
- The maintenance manager may be required to work outside of regular business hours to address emergencies or perform critical maintenance tasks.
