**The team you will be a part of**
The Manufacturing Maintenance team plans, prioritizes and manages technical service activities to ensure that the team's resources are used effectively and that customer service agreements are fulfilled. Develops, evaluates and reviews technical service procedures and standards. Monitors the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending and achieve timeliness, reliability and customer satisfaction standards.
**This role in summary**
Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Manager opening to join our Fall River Operations team. This role provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual who has a manufacturing background, exceptional leadership skills, and is able to achieve world-class performance in Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Whirlpool is looking for a proven leader for its Maintenance Team to directly lead the maintenance organization in MTTR(Mean Time to Repair) reductions, MTBF(Mean Time Between Failure) increases, planning and execution of projects, preventive maintenance programs, collection of equipment data, and implementation of WCM to improve loses in the plant as Breakdowns. **Your responsibilities will include**
+ Develop strategic plans in which business goals and objectives are met; talent development, customer focus and employee engagement
+ Prioritize and organize short-term and long-term goals and activities in accordance with business objectives
+ Facilitate & Orchestrate technical focus to satisfy operational objectives.
+ Responsible for the development and growth of supervisors, planners, and other members of the team
+ Develop and mentor technical (skill trades and engineering) resources in problem-solving tools based on the suite of World Class Manufacturing.
+ Provide leadership, guidance and coaching for WCM Autonomous, Professional Maintenance & EEM pillars, as well as support the rest of the pillars, managerial and technical, as needed.
+ Responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations (assembly equipment, packaging, material handling, fixtures, and business processes).
+ Support cost improvement and capital improvement initiatives.
+ Establish standards, clear expectations, and drive accountability
+ Drive root cause analysis through structured diagnoses of equipment failures utilizing standard tools techniques and procedures.
+ Use a computerized maintenance management system(s) for creating, displaying, tracking, and confirming maintenance requests.
+ Continuous Improvement activities based on the WCM methodology
+ Facilities and support with internal projects to support the WCM journey.
**Minimum requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field
+ 5+ years of manufacturing experience
**Preferred skills and experiences**
+ MBA preferred
+ Leadership experience in a large manufacturing environment (3+ years)
+ Strong understanding of World Class Manufacturing principles and methodologies
+ Track record in driving continuous improvement via WCM tools
+ Experience in WCM, Lean Manufacturing Methods, Root-Cause-Problem-Solving Techniques, TPM, Reliability-Centered Maintenance, and Predictive and Preventative Maintenance
+ Read and interpret Mechanical Drawings, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Schematics, working knowledge of hydraulics, gearing, mechanical clutch and brake assemblies, welding, and fabrication.
+ Understanding of statistical data analysis as well as project management and scheduling.
+ Proficient with MS Office, and SAP (Plant Maintenance Module).
+ Effective communicator with the ability to support assembly processes 24 hours a day
+ Ability to grow individual and organizational competency through proactive coaching and mentoring
+ Proven leader that can provide purpose, direction, and motivation
+ Demonstrate ability to provide an engaging work environment
+ Champion for challenging existing practices
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict to a resolution
