Job Summary: Responsible for leadership, oversight and coordination of daily Manufacturing planning activities to maximize efficiency and reduce waste. Optimizes Finished Goods inventory strategy and associated production schedules to effectively achieve global customer service level targets while maximizing Manufacturing efficiencies. Cross functional leader, working across commercial, supply chain and operations teams to utilize demand plan, raw and intermediate material availability, production capacity and warehousing space to determine effective production schedules and attainable Finished Goods inventory levels across Kalsec's product lines. Identifies areas of capacity, material and/or labor constraints as well as planning and scheduling improvements and works cross-functionally to resolve. Grows and works to continuously improve, maintain, and communicate metrics to drive decision making in Manufacturing to avoid bottlenecks and to achieve inventory goals. Escalates issues as appropriate. 1. Consistently monitor product inventory levels and order fulfillment requests from Customer Experience and global Distribution Orders. Plan, enter and maintain bulking and packaging MOs and associated production schedules, utilizing available capacity to effectively fulfill global demand. Owner of finished goods planning and scheduling process across all product lines, including Core, Hops, Dry Products and Fluid Premix (approx. 6,000 SKUs). Consistently evaluating current product inventory, projected global demand, customer order patterns, shelf life, testing and labeling requirements, and available raw material and production capacity, while determining effective Manufacturing schedules and product inventory levels to maximize customer service orders, production capacity, raw material and warehousing availability. 2. Lead Kalamazoo Manufacturing planning personnel activities to align with the strengths of each team member to achieve goals and promote continuous improvement. Also, ensure each team member completes daily tasks and meets long term goals as set annually.3. Work with Production and Finishing Operations teams to maximize resource and planning activities to maintain a high standard of schedule attainment and on-time customer delivery. Manage Finishing scheduling process to identify products to make, when, where and in efficient batch sizes. Adjust work center lead time commitments based on capacity utilization and demand patterns and communicate to stakeholders as appropriate. Responsible for maintaining Production and Finishing production schedules and routinely publishing Finishing Priority List to include identified information to maximize schedule attainment.4. Strategic decision maker, responsible for consistent evaluation of processes and systems for floor stock agreements, planning and scheduling process definition, and effective Finished Goods inventory strategy. Work with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to determine aligned intermediate and raw material requirements. Set measures and track performance. Collaborate on corporate initiatives on inventory management. 5. Responsible for Finishing production schedules and overall Finished Goods inventory management, identifying improvement opportunities and reporting through Ops and inventory metrics to be published weekly and finishing visual management dashboard to be updated daily.6. Collaborate with global Supply Chain and Operations teams to maintain globally consistent processes and drive continuous improvement.7. Facilitate the daily cross-functional Morning Huddle Meeting. Develop, implement, and maintain means to provide visibility of current late jobs and orders, short and mid-range production requirements and associated purchased and manufactured raw materials and intermediates. Report current late customer orders and projected ship dates to Customer Experience Manager daily. Assign and track late reasons for all late jobs to accurately track job attainment metrics and identify common root causes for future improvement. Highlight and capture current First Pass Quality issues and Job Readiness from job entry through formulations and material availability.8. Actively participate in organizational Global S&OP initiatives. Monthly participation in S&OP meetings to communicate production planning and finished goods inventory plans related to changes in demand and strategies on meeting demand for high priority business. Prepare slides for monthly Global Supply Meetings and other requested meetings/correspondences throughout each month.Required: BS Degree in Supply Chain, Business or 3-5 equivalent experience in inventory management, customer service, demand planning and/or production planning.
