CMEP is located in Saginaw, Michigan, and is a separate nonprofit legal entity from CMU. The faculty of CMEP works collaboratively and interactively with the College of Medicine faculty at CMU to deliver an innovative curriculum to CMU medical students.This position will remain open until filled. For best consideration, please submit application materials before October 9, 2024.Position InformationPosition Title: Manager Microfilm and Digital ServicesPosition Summary: The Clarke Historical Library's microfilming and digitization unit (MAD) offers a highly regarded set of microfilming and digitization services. MAD supports preservation of and open online access to Michigan history documented in newspapers, manuscripts, photographs, and similar materials. Reporting to the Clarke director, the MDS oversees MAD's production staff and services, working with external customers such as libraries and historical societies.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree.Two years of post-undergraduate work experience.One year of experience supervising full-time or part-time employees.Experience with photographic processes; using SLR or DSLR cameras; graphic design; or similar image-based technical work.Demonstrated high-level proficiency with computer hardware and software (e.g., Word, Excel, Photoshop).Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, accessibility, and anti-racism. Duties & Responsibilities Manages and contributes to multiple microfilming and digitization projects.Hires, schedules, trains, and reviews staff.Develops and maintains excellent vendor relationships.Reports on project budgets and expenditures.Trains staff in operating microfilming and digitization equipment.Troubleshoots technical issues with hardware and software.Promotes MAD's services throughout the state.
