POSITION SUMMARY In collaboration with the Director, Facilities oversees and directs the engineering and facility management functions for UNC Health Southeastern including facility planning and construction projects. #Manages the activities of the necessary resources to ensure UNC Health Southeastern#s facilities function and operate in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner while satisfying all applicable regulatory requirements. In conjunction with the Director of Facilities is responsible for assessing and planning for departmental needs based on short and long-term goals and strategic plans for assigned hospitals or practices. Provides accurate and timely communication, recognition, and coaching to staff; implements budget and performance improvement plans; collaborates with all hospital departments to endure their satisfaction with matters involving Facilities Services; supervises small maintenance and refurbishment projects; and, responsible for coordination of related service.# Acts as the Safety Officer and oversees the Emergency Management for the organization. # EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: Minimum Required:#Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a Related Degree Five years experience in a leadership and management role of a health care organization # Preferred:#####Master Degree in above disciplines and/or Healthcare focused area. Experience in a particular trade such as mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, stationary operating engineer, etc.
