Job Description
This position will lead the data and analytics strategy for the organization, driving data-driven decision-making and fostering a culture of data excellence. This role involves overseeing data management, analytics, and business intelligence functions to ensure the effective use of data assets. This role will provide leadership regarding enterprise data with a deep understanding of data governance, data quality, data security, and business intelligence. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that leverage data to enhance business performance, optimize operations, and identify new use cases. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to build and manage a high performing, continually improving data organization. The position will play a critical role in promoting data literacy across the organization, ensuring that all departments can effectively utilize data to make informed decisions.
- Effectively manage direct-report employees.

- Develop and execute a tactical plan with your employees to support the company strategic plan and key initiatives.
- Create and Maintain an Enterprise Data Strategy and Data Architecture. (40%)
- Collaborate with business and IT leadership to understand and define the organization's strategic objectives and key business goals related to the use of data. Ensure that the data strategy supports these objectives by providing actionable insights and data-driven solutions.
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the current data infrastructure, sources, and quality. Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement to ensure the data strategy is built on a solid foundation.
- Establish a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, availability, and security. Assign and coach data stewards to maintain effective data governance practices.
- Implement best practices for data management, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and enterprise data sets, to ensure accessibility, reliability, and timeliness for all stakeholders.
- Promote and drive the use of business intelligence tools, advanced analytics, and data solutions to address complex business challenges and uncover new opportunities across the organization.
- Advocate for data literacy and a data-driven mindset across the organization. Provide training and resources to empower employees to utilize data effectively in their decision-making processes.
- Lead developing and implementing various strategic data architecture initiatives around Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Architectures, Standards, Governance, Privacy, and Metadata Management.
- Oversee data governance, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security. (20%)
- In collaboration with business and IT/Data Science leadership, establish and maintain a robust data governance framework, including processes, policies, roles, metrics, and standards to ensure effective and efficient use of information.
- Ensure high-quality, clean, and reliable data to support informed business decisions.
- Implement measures to protect data privacy and ensure compliance with data protection regulations, such as PII, PCI, HIPAA, and Consumer Privacy.
- Assign and train data stewards to enforce data governance policies and maintain data integrity.
- Maintain transparency in data governance processes, ensuring all actions are documented and auditable.
- Drive the adoption of business intelligence tools and data solutions to solve business problems. (20%)
- Work with business units and IT/Data Science to identify high impact use cases for advanced analytics and data solutions. Lead the planning, development and deployment of business intelligence tools, techniques, and technology solutions to address specific business challenges.
- Ensure that business intelligence tools and data solutions seamlessly integrate into business processes and workflows. Provide training and support to ensure successful adoption.
- Continuously monitor the performance and scalability of deployed models and analytics solutions. Optimize and update models as needed to maintain accuracy and relevance.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest advancements in data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and ML/AI tools & techniques. Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies with the potential to enhance the organization's capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights (15%)
- Work closely with stakeholders from various departments to understand their data needs and challenges.
- Establish regular communication channels, such as meetings and workshops, to ensure continuous dialogue between data teams and business units.
- Foster a collaborative environment where cross-functional teams can share insights, best practices, and innovative ideas to leverage data effectively.
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of data solutions and adjustment based on feedback and changing business needs.
Administration (5%)
- Effectively Manage the Departmental Budget and Expenses.
- Ensure completion of approved IT projects for each fiscal year per the Strategic Plan Departmental Budget.
- Prepare and present departmental capital and expense budgets for approval annually utilizing company guidelines.
- Forecast remaining fiscal year expenditures in each category each month as determined by company guidelines.
- Review and report on the department P&L each month and provide explanations for variances to budget as determined by company guidelines.
- Ensure departmental costs adhere to budget as set forth at the beginning of the fiscal year.
- Manage departmental budget and control costs.
- Ensure all invoices and departmental expenses are processed in a timely manner.
- Review and approve departmental expense reports in a timely manner.
- Manage Vendor relationships.
- Maintain professional working relationships with Internal company Departments.
- Assist and recommend changes to departmental standards.
- Update Corporate and IT Strategic plans as determined by company guidelines.

Skill Requirements
10+ years of experience in a senior enterprise-level data and analytics leadership role with strong knowledge of data management, analytics, and business intelligence tools.
Required skills:
- Strong technical proficiency in data management, analytics, and business intelligence tools, along with proven leadership and management skills to guide a high-performing team.
- Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking to align data initiatives with business goals, excellent communication skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders, and a solid understanding of business processes to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration, analytical thinking, continuous learning, problem-solving, and project management is essential.
- Adept at identifying and addressing data-related challenges and opportunities while staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- A proven ability to introduce, steward, and drive an enterprise data group and program.
Desired Skills/ Experience
Experience with Customer Master Data Management (MDM) software tools. Experience with company's Business Intelligence technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Synapse, Databricks, and Power BI) a plus.
- 10 years of experience with data modeling, metadata, data dictionary, and related technologies and tools.
EDUCATION
College Degree in Business or related experience
Desired Education: College degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, or Data Analytics.
