What to Expect The key objectives of the role are to consolidate and report financial resultsin both International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”) and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices in the United States (“US GAAP”), prepare financial statements footnotes, and to lead the preparation of the US GAAP consolidated financial statements for North America (“NAM”). Additional involvement in various aspects of the month-end and annual reporting processes and various ad hoc reporting. Serve as the IFRS and US GAAP accounting expert and technical accounting expert, writing technical memorandums to support North America's accounting positions.
What we are looking for: - Review the monthly NAM financials in SAP and support NAM accounting department with questions on how to record complex transactions.
- Perform necessary checks regarding intercompany accounts, IFRS and US GAAP adjustments and reasonableness of submissions.
- Perform various consolidation tasks during month-end.
- Responsible for US GAAP guidelines.
- Technical accounting research and technical memorandums.
- Responsible for the preparation of US GAAP consolidated financial statements for USA.
- Support the US accounting team with the preparation of lender compliance reporting
- Prepare global/NAM IFRS and US GAAP reporting package for Citibank Asset Backed Loan reporting requirements. Support the coordination of providing NAM information of the annual audit.
- Work with the accounting teams on process improvements.
- Generation of monthly reports and informed based on ad-hoc request and presentation of this information to key stakeholders.
What you will bring - Bachelors in Accounting, required; Masters in Accounting preferred.
- CPA or CA professional designation required
- At least 5 years' experience in public and corporate accounting required
- 2 years consolidation experience with a large multi-location organization
- Extensive experience with US GAAP required; plus IFRS, preferred
- Experience with SAP BCS preferred.
- Good MS Office Skills
- A team player within the corporate team and a collaborator with the subsidiary accounting teams
- Candidate must be local or willing to relocate to Texas
