Position Function and DutiesThe Manager of Learning and Development will build a learning and development program for leadership and team members. The manager will develop and lead the Lee County Clerk of Court's learning and development initiatives. This position actively searches, creatively designs and delivers content on various topics to educate and enhance leadership and team member's skills.Position Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for end-to-end program design, development, and application of learning and development programs and delivery of content
  • Experienced in developing and delivering educational content for organizational leaning that is relevant to leaders and team members
  • Build a yearly learning roadmap for leaders and individual contributors to include plans and objectives which include new manager training and emerging leader training
  • Develop a ROI/VOI dashboard to illustrate the effectiveness of the training provided relative to the investment and time cost
  • Ensure training methodologies include blended, eLearning, in person, and virtual solutions as required and develop strategies to engage employees in a hybrid work environment

  • A Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of experience in Learning and Development or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Proven experience in developing and expanding learning and development programs, with a forward-thinking approach and strategic mindset to drive organization growth and learning.
  • Experience in desktop applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and LMS systems
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, and other agencies
  • Ability to work and make decisions under pressure and meet deadlines, goals and objectives
  • Ability to effectively monitor performance objectives and report training ROI
  • Effective interpersonal skills, strong work ethic and professional demeanor
  • Use tact in sensitive situations, maintain confidentiality, and maintain a courteous attitude
  • Requires initiative and independent judgment
Supplemental Information Physical Requirements:
  • Office: Majority of the time is spent sitting at the computer, remainder of the time is spent teaching while standing, talking and walking
  • Work from Home: Majority of the time is spent sitting at the computer
  • This position requires bending, reaching and standing
  • This position requires going to other departments and/or offices on different floors and/or buildings
  • This position requires occasional travel to attend meetings, seminars, classes and conferences
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
