Job Summary:
The Manager of Networking is a member of the Information Technology Department that has the responsibility for leading the team of engineers and administrators who design, deploy, and maintain SHIs data networks and network management systems. They are the principal designer of LAN, WAN, and network security solutions on the network team. They assign tasks and projects to Network Engineers and Network Administrators. They monitor project and task progress to achieve the goals and meet deadlines. They assist and mentor their team members to ensure the progression of their skills. They conduct the yearly review of the Network Engineers and Administrators, maintain their attendance records, and ensure proper staffing.
The Manager of Networking is required to report to the SHI Somerset NJ office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities:
Include, but not limited to:
- Assess technical requirements for corporate networks in the enterprise
- Design new and upgrade existing networks and their supporting systems
- Design and maintain backup configurations, recovery plans, and version control systems
- Troubleshoot network architecture and make recommendations for system enhancements
- Make recommendations for system improvements and cost reduction
- Develop and oversee implementation plans
- Direct resources for successful implementation of plans and designs
- Conduct regular individual status meetings with subordinates
- Create plans for staff development
- Review performance of Network Administrators and Engineer
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or relevant work experience required
- 7+ years of experience configuring, troubleshooting, and deploying IP networks in medium to large enterprises
- 3+ years of large corporation or enterprise IT Experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing and mentoring a team of IT networking professionals
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in evaluating technical requirements and preparing appropriate network designs
- Proficiency in configuring EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP routing protocols
- Proficiency in configuring network firewalls and network access controls
- Excellent teamwork and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to follow a structured methodology to solve problems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Desire and ability to research and study technology to increase knowledge and solve problems
- Ability to mentor, motivate, and evaluate subordinate team members
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio for documenting network designs
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Experience configuring Cisco FTD or ASA network firewalls
- Experience configuring Cisco wireless network controllers
- Experience configuring Cisco Viptela SD-WAN platform
- Experience configuring F5 LTM/GTM
- Experience configuring Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Experience configuring networking in AWS or Azure cloud environments

Additional Information:
- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $85,000 - $150,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
