We aim to bring warmth and energy to everything we do.We have an exciting opportunity open for a Manager of Pipeline Integrity with the opportunity to work remote from one of the following states: AR, TX, OK, SC, TN, KS, LA, FL, ME or MO.POSITION SUMMARY:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineering manager to oversee the integrity and maintenance of our natural gas transmission pipeline system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipeline integrity management, MAOP Reconfirmation, engineering design, project management, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance of our pipeline system.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement pipeline integrity management programs and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians responsible for pipeline integrity management, including inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the pipeline system.
  • Manage and oversee pipeline repair and replacement projects, including design, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Review and evaluate new pipeline construction projects to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and project schedules.
  • Monitor and analyze pipeline performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and industry trends including engagement in the American Gas Association (AGA)
  • In-depth knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192 Subpart O and Mega Rule Requirements.
  • Familiarity with 49 CFR Part 192.624 (MAOP Reconfirmation) and 192.619 (Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure for Steel), including practical applications and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of pipeline integrity management risk software (Jana or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with GIS, SCADA systems, and pipeline modeling software is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring of MAOP reconfirmation and TIMP activities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong technical expertise in pipeline integrity management, including risk assessment, inspection, testing, repair, welding, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, including PHMSA, API, ASME, NACE, and state standards.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and technicians.
  • PE and/or PMP preferred.
  • NACE CP certification as CP-2 or higher preferred.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, civil, or materials engineering.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in natural gas transmission pipeline integrity management, engineering design, MAOP Reconfirmation, and project management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and meticulous analytical capability
  • Strong competencies in data analysis, ILI, Direct Assessment, ASME B31.8S, Subpart O
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Business partner mentality with ability to educate basic Transmission Integrity concepts to stakeholders
  • Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis with the proven ability to communicate complex engineering concepts and data in an understandable manner to all levels of management and staff
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Experience with writing and editing compliance based plans preferred
