The Manager of Procurement at ASG is responsible for analyzing and directing the costs and expenditures related to the company's procurement, source the company's strategic supply partners, and develop sourcing policies. This role also creates cost estimates and forecasts for procurement and negotiates reasonable and cost-effective contracts. What you'll do: (Including, but not limited to):
- Participates in the development of goals and budgets for areas of responsibility
- Optimize the procurement process life-cycle to reduce time-to-market for subcontracted construction partners.
- Negotiates contract modifications, follow-up quotations, revisions, terms, and conditions with vendors to create value savings and provide risk mitigating leverage.
- Works with business partners to identify and drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) process improvements to reduce costs
- Partners with all other elements of support services to manage and maintain a robust list of subcontractors to support operational needs.
- Provides regular project status updates to team members; attends required meetings and follow-up on action items
- Utilizes standard project management tools and summary documents to track and communicate the status of projects
- Identifies and manages performance improvement dependencies and critical path issues
- Establishes the rules and methods to assess new and existing supplier performance
- Creates principles, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, market and supplier research, and analysis
- Translates the strategy into a vision and communicates throughout the organization and with key external stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Mitigates risk and promotes compliance by establishing and maintaining valued relationships with internal stakeholders; organizes and leads effective meetings with applicable stakeholders
- Administer contracts following company and customer policies and procedures, interpret and analyze contract documents, and review and evaluate customer requests for changes to or revisions of contracts that involve technical specifications, cost, or schedule impact on the company.
- Works with the Business Development team to support by providing subcontractor pricing for customer RFP opportunities.
- Manages the daily operations of the staff in the Procurement department
- Collaborates with leadership to implement processes and policies that support efficient service delivery and meet the organization's changing needs
- Sets performance goals and targets for staff used to evaluate performance and drive continuous improvement
- Coaches teams in best practices and effective tactics in order to complete their job duties correctly and efficiently
What you'll need: General
- Requires excellent communication and customer service skills
- Bachelor's in a relevant field such as Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business, or equivalent experience
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Desired
- Experience in telecommunications or utility construction preferred
- Experience with R Language and RFP/RFI software and processes
- 3+ years in a sourcing-related role
