Job Type Full-timeDescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to oversee our Renovation and New Construction Department. This role will be responsible for managing the team, ensuring efficient project execution, and fostering strong relationships with borrowers, contractors, and lenders., and Loan Officers. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in construction management, renovation projects management, and lender/investor requirements.RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead and mentor the renovation and construction team staff, as well as provide support to the sales team originating these loans.
- Loan Project Oversight:
- Assist the renovation and construction team throughout the loan process.
- Complete pre- and post-funding aspects of the Construction and Renovation loan processes.
- Serve as a contact for Loan officers, Borrowers, and Contractors throughout the loan and draw process, providing exceptional customer service.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Assist the team as needed with review and process construction and renovation draws, change orders, and related documentation for accuracy prior to submission and subsequent review and approval.
- Ensure compliance with mortgage guidelines for Construction and Renovation loan programs, including all necessary documentation.
- Accommodate Compliance with any requirements for audits, training guide updates, and escalation requirements.
- Project and Workflow Management:
- Manage workflow efficiently, ensuring timely project reviews of Construction and Renovation Loans to determine program eligibility and completion dates.
- Aid in review of Builder/Contractor Acceptance
- Assist the team with locating and compiling required documentation for all renovation and construction products from origination through project completion.
- Preside over construction servicing during the construction phase of the project along with year-end reporting
- Financial Management:
- Assist the team with drafting payment requests and submit to Accounts Payable or respective Title company, maintaining accurate procedures for all work steps performed.
- Work closely with the warehouse lender addressing line exposure, closings, and closeouts
- Analyze and suggest procedural changes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Risk Management and Reporting:
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on project status, department performance, and suggest improvements.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the department and organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction and renovation project management
- Proven experience managing teams and working with lenders, investors, and/or financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of construction and renovation processes, builder acceptance reviews, construction servicing, mortgage compliance, and project management software.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
