This position is responsible for managing the Revenue accounting function for the Company. This includes responsibility for the accurate, proper, and timely reconciliation, recording, and reporting of the Company's revenue. This role is charged with elevating internal controls and optimizing the efficiency of the Revenue team's processes, to include the streamlining of manual tasks, greater use of automation, and enhanced integration with other functions. Additionally, this position will lead and develop the Revenue Accounting team and support others by providing key information and reports throughout the Company.

Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
* Oversee the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation, recording and reporting of revenue for the Company. Ensure adequate processes and controls are in place to provide assurance that revenue is recorded and reported accurately, timely, and in accordance with accounting standards. Ensure that revenue supporting documentation is sufficient to comply with the requirements of third-party partners, internal and external auditors, and taxing authorities.*
* Lead the Revenue Accounting team. Onboard, train, and evaluate staff to enhance performance, development, and work product. Set objectives for the team, clearly communicate expectations, and monitor progress. Ensure tasks and deliverables are accurate and timely. Implement measures to promote a team environment and foster effective communication within the team.*
* Manage period-end closing responsibilities to include the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation and review of balance sheets, and research of revenue-related variances and inquiries.*
* Participate on cross-functional task forces to implement new Revenue-enhancing initiatives throughout the organization. Ensure Revenue processes are established to properly account for new programs and provide the needed reporting of outcomes. Collaborate with Information Technology and Operations partners on any new revenue-related/Point of Sale systems to ensure proper revenue and tax accounting.*
* Develop, implement and maintain accounting systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to Company guidelines. Evaluate departmental Standard Operating Procedures and develop a plan for establishing/updating SOPs on an ongoing basis. Identify and administer the implementation of process improvements to optimize the efficiency of Revenue processes. Streamline manual tasks, increase automation, and enhance integration with other areas (i.e. Operations, Information Technology, Cash Control, Night Audit, etc.).*
* Guide the Revenue team in resolving and responding to requests from both internal and external customers in a timely manner.
* Partner with the AR Manager to manage the company-wide credit card chargeback process, including: overseeing team's research and timely response to disputes, implementing process improvements to reduce expense, and working with external partner(s) related to credit card fraud prevention.*
* Prepare ad-hoc analyses and provide general accounting support to the Finance and Accounting team as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
* Bachelor's degree - Accounting, Business Administration, Finance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Ability to communicate and advocate accounting positions.
* Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, and ability to use these tools to create efficiencies.
* Experience with financial accounting software and reporting tools.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret significant data relationships. Detail oriented with high level of accuracy.
* Demonstrated ability as a leader and team developer.
* Able to forge strong working relationships across functions.
* Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels within the organization.
