Job Description Responsible for the process of contract negotiations with the Sourcing Analysts and vendor representatives. Conducts successful negotiations consistent with AHS policies leading to the most advantageous contract for AHS. Directs the efforts of the SSAs to prepare, coordinate and conduct the negotiations consistent with AHS policies and legal requirements. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Assists the Sourcing Analysts in continually developing greater products expertise while researching competitor products for critical elements of information which need to be included in the contract terms and conditions. 2. Anticipates the expiration of contract renewal process using reports and ASCS information to support the process and help with decision support. 3. Routinely audits current vendor contracts. 4. Responsible to ensure SSAs are reviewing contracts, pricing, and invoicing in accordance with their responsibilities. 5. Responsible for the selection of suppliers that can act as long-term partners and help the company meet its growth objectives. 6. Creates and maintains a Quarterly Business Review program for AHS's top 40 vendors. 7. Continuously meets short deadlines while maintaining technical quality of the results 8. Develops and implements long-term sourcing strategies (3-5 year plan). 9. Coordinate Quarterly Business Reviews with vendors and key stakeholders 10. Understands and operates in accordance with all regulatory and compliance agencies. 11. Analyzes industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues 12. Prepares presentations for management. 13. Prepares reports for managers and executives which assist in decision process. 14. Other related tasks as necessary. Qualifications Education and Relevant Experience: 1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and training 2. Minimum 5 years of direct management of Team Members, excellent excel and math skills. 3. Must have contracting experience, negotiation skills.
