CSP has partnered with a Baltimore-local private philanthropy and non-profit organization in their search for a Manager of Systems and Technology. Reporting to the director of Business Technology, the Manager of Systems and Applications will be integral to leading and coordinating efforts for several important technology functions, including team resources and support for security, applications and development. The role will directly manage several staff members as well as external contractors that provide all Foundation staff with daily IT support and guidance. As a new role, this position offers opportunities to foster collaboration and innovation with the director and other stakeholders, as well as alignment and collaboration between unit resources and standard operating procedures that ultimately aim to support staff and serve the Foundation's mission.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day activities of resources in security, applications, software development and network system administration, managing and acting as escalation point for leads on those teams
- Manage engagements and relationships across external vendors and partners that provide services critical to the Foundation's mission
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implement best practices, governance frameworks, policies and other protocols across various domains
- Gain and maintain an understanding of data flows, systems, networking topology, technical architecture and critical IT infrastructure to govern the technical ecosystem
- Utilize business acumen and technical expertise to guide prioritization and risk management
- Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with internal stakeholders and build an understanding of the Foundation, working with the director to identify new opportunities and strategies
- Work collaboratively across other functions of the technology department to align priorities, timelines, performance expectations and deliverable acceptance criteria
- Identify opportunities to consolidate systems and external vendors
- Perform administrative functions as needed to manage teams, vendors, equipment inventories and other day-to-day activities
- Facilitate meetings between different teams and stakeholders as needed to advance initiatives and maintain alignment
- Ensure the unit's documentation is regularly evaluated and updated to maintain current and accurate standards, guidance and policies
- Set and encourage a service-centric tone for the unit, with emphasis on collaboration
- Act as a mentor to unit members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork
- For staff members that report directly to the manager, establish performance plans and accountability toward progress as well as identify resources and provide guidance to ensure individual's professional growth and success
- Exhibit sensitivity to and respect for diversity in personal, professional and business relationships on behalf of the Foundation

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is strongly preferred
- Minimum of five years experience in an IT or technical role, with additional minimum of three years experience in a leadership role, leading IT or technical teams of at least five people
- Previous enterprise applications, CRM and/or ERP project experience strongly preferred
- Technical and/or leadership certifications are highly desirable
