- Collaborates with business owners and departments to identify business needs and training priorities.
- Collaborates and supports other departments on new customer startups and projects
- Supports departments with framework documentation for work instructions related to clients specific documents.
- Searches for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and professional development
- Research new training tools and materials that can enhance training procedures while providing value to employees
- Identify future training needs and creating a curriculum to facilitate that training
- Lead programs to assist employees with transitions due to technological changes, acquisitions and mergers
- Set up leadership development programs and resources
- Conducting orientation programs and arranging training program for new hires
- Resolving any specific problems and tailoring training programs as necessary
- Other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a proven ability to develop relationships within all positions within the company
- Clearly explaining how to meet training requirements necessitates outstanding communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a cross functional team
- Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization as well as various levels of the customer's organization
- Ability to lead, develop and coach teams
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions from workstream owners
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Quality driven and results oriented
- Highly motivated self-starter able to operate effectively with minimal supervision
- Travel required up to 25%
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year university or college; an emphasis on logistics preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in training or logistics role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Learning Management Software (LMS) desired
- Track record of designing and executing successful training programs
- PC literate with expertise in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel
