Find out how you can Make It Possible: Plans and directs campus activities of the Food and Nutrition Services. Responsible for the customer service and nutritional aspect of Food Service for patients, employees and visitors. Oversees the development, preparation and distribution of food products. Ensures site compliance with regulatory standards (e.g. Joint Commission, CMS, and NYDOH). In conjunction with the Site Administrator, assists in the planning of short- and long-term departmental objectives. Monitors and coordinates the preparation of food products, activities of employees, pantry sanitation, equipment function, timeliness of meal service, food temperatures, delivery of meal trays, nourishments, pantry stock and enteral feedings to patient rooms and units.
This is a full-time day shift position 8:00am-5:00pm weekdays and some weekends, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyln Methodist Hospital Preferred Criteria:- Registered Dietitian according to ADA guidelines and certified by the State of New York as a certified Dietitian/Nutritionist.
Required Criteria:- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Food Administration, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
- Five to seven years' experience in managing professional and service employees.
- Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and therapeutic aspects of food, nutrition, and food service administration.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and have good follow through.
- Must have strong customer service skills and be hospitality oriented.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to relate to all levels of staff in the organization.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have good public speaking skills.
