As a reflection of our current needs, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as Manager, Contracting. The Manager, Contracting plays a vital role within our Payor Strategy Team. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, Payor Strategy. The Contracting Team will primarily work with internal stakeholders in communicating terms of contracts and supporting department initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with insurance company contacts.
  • Acts as primary Point of Contact for internal customers on department initiatives.
  • Acts as owner of company initiatives, keeping all relevant projects on time and acting as subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee internal workflows related to the operational arm of the insurance contracts to ensure that all relevant parties are working together to meet contract terms.
  • Manage the implementation, execution, and communication of contracts throughout organization.
  • Support leadership with contracting through special projects, as needed.
  • Act as an expert resource on escalated contractual issues in addition to resolution of high-level compliance.
  • Monitor contract performance and other provisions to assure compliance, identify problem areas, and resolve disputes.
  • Oversee, create and execute the educational resources needed for the field operators.
  • Resolve escalated contract issues generated by operational department heads.
  • Draft and communicate customer announcements for newly executed, terminated, or revised/updated contracts and payor industry news.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience to payor contracting processes
  • Broad knowledge of healthcare insurance, physician billing and reimbursement, administration, systems, practices and principles, (i.e. Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Commercial.)
  • Excellent verbal & written communications
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills a must.
  • Detail oriented with a strong level of analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Annual Pay Range: $90-110k, plus bonus opportunity
