- Responsible for the proper utilization of resources (supplies, drugs, staff) within the department by implementing & monitoring initiatives to ensure the department is fiscally responsible
- Hires, Manages staff and participates in the annual staff evaluations, on going coaching and mentoring and employee rounding.
- Manages scheduling, day to day assignments and payroll
- Coordinates the efficient distribution of medications to meet the needs of the patients.
- performs necessary audits, rounds with employees, and actively participates in dept huddles to ensure performance and keep open communications
- Actively participates in all committees and work groups to support the department, local and system wide improvement.
- Precepts PGY1 pharmacy residents and pharmacy school students in applicable practice setting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
