Job Description
As the Manager, Truckload Procurement & Sourcing, you will oversee all procurement functions, including the development, implementation, and growth of strategies related to truckload, intermodal, flatbed, and specialized logistics and transportation segments. You will also drive carrier relations, and negotiate pricing agreements, large and small. You will collaborate directly with customers, operations, sales, and other internal and external stakeholders to create solutions focused on service and cost expectations. The Manager, Truckload Procurement & Sourcing will report directly to the Vice President of US Transportation. The Manager, Less-than-Truckload Procurement and Sourcing is a peer position.

Responsibilities in Support of Managed Transportation Services (MTS)
Develop, grow and manage a carrier network that can support all clients.
Conduct RFPs, analyze rates, capacity, and commitment for determining carrier selection. Experience with web-based RFP tools is a plus.
Manage new carrier onboarding and compliance. Establish and maintain positive carrier relationships.
Compile and interpret performance metrics for meetings with customers and carriers; address operational concerns as necessary. Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews.
Work directly with Engineering and Solutions on determining opportunities associated with new client prospects.
Develop and manage key performance indicators and metrics.
Develop and manage tools to accurately forecast pricing for new and existing opportunities.
Serve as subject matter expert for vetting new proprietary or sourced tools, technologies, and innovations.
What you need to succeed at Tetria
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field, or equivalent work or military experience.
5 years of combined experience in strategic procurement and logistics/operations.
Experience in and understanding of all modes of transportation and logistics (Truckload, Intermodal, Flatbed, Specialized).
Understanding of and experience with various rate structures.
Strong experience with and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Availability to travel 10% of the time.
Comfortable managing and leading team members.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working independently under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
