Product Marketing ensures that our portfolio is marketed effectively to the right audience. This role is a player-coach and will be responsible for product marketing for services and software portfolio as well as lead the product marketing team. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, inquisitive, creative, efficient, and comfortable interacting across the entire organization.Essential Responsibilities:Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning, and Messaging: Collaborate with Product Management to define clear value propositions and product positioning. Use industry and competitive analysis to target new customer acquisition, expansion with existing customers, and establish solution ROI. Create compelling product messaging that differentiates our products and appeals to target audiences. Translate product enhancements into effective messaging and programs.Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and implement innovative strategies and plans for launching new products/features, ensuring alignment with business goals. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve successful product launches.Sales and Commercial Enablement: Equip the commercial team with tools, resources, and training, including sales presentations, product demos, fact sheets, customer success stories, and competitive battle cards.Content Creation: Support the outbound marketing team in producing high-quality marketing materials, such as blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and videos, to support the GTM strategy.Team Leadership: Lead and manage the product marketing team to achieve shared business outcomes. Ensure creating an environment for the product marketing team to thrive including providing feedback and coaching, removing barriers, and supporting career growth.Cross-functional Leadership: Working closely across commercial organization and leading a cross functional team to achieve launch results.Qualifications:5+ years experience in product marketing (preferably B2B)Track record of launching products that meet business caseExcellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsProven ability to influence and align teams around shared business outcomesTrack record of creative and impactful launchesAbility to analyze data to derive meaningful insightsAbility to adapt to changing market conditions and prioritize multiple projectsUp to 30% travelStrong bonus: Experience with a safety product or in the industrial spaceThree days a week in office at One Life Way in Pittsburgh, PAFortive Corporation OverviewFortive's essential technology makes the world stronger, safer, and smarter.
