How You'll Make a Difference
You will be responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and accreditation of PMI's professional standards, including those related to project management, portfolio management, program management, AI in project management, and more. Leading a small team tasked with facilitating structured community consensus on professional standards, ensuring compliance with ANSI and ISO requirements, and working closely with subject matter experts and standards bodies to ensure PMI's standards remain relevant and globally recognized.
What You'll Bring to the Role
* Bachelor's degree in project management, business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification in project management preferred.
* 7+ years of experience in standards development, accreditation management, or a related field.
* Experience working in a standards body, accreditation organization, or professional association preferred.
* Strong understanding of ANSI accreditation processes and ANSI and ISO audit and compliance requirements.
* Experience in facilitating consensus-building processes, particularly within professional or volunteer-driven communities.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and build consensus.
* Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of trends and emerging practices in the project professions.
* Committed to equitable leadership and team practices, including transparency, modeling vulnerability, encouraging dissent, interrupting group think, advocating for radical inclusion, and employing active listening.
