Manager Title: Sr. Director, Program Operations
Position Overview:The Manager, Program Operations, creates, edits, and reviews key operational and scheduling information for PBS General Audience Programming. They work with internal staff across the organization, as well as external stakeholders to ensure the dissemination of complete and accurate program records, program offers, and updates.Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supports Senior Director, Program Operations, in the creation and management of program operations and scheduling information for the National Program Service.
- Prioritizes the timely communication and dissemination of operational program information to stations, including monthly scheduling grids.
- Creates, edits, and proofs program offers for distribution to PBS stations.
- Creates and manages data integrity for program records in Rightsline/Broadview databases.
- Acts as primary Rightsline back-up for Senior Director, Program Operations.
- Communicates with and responds to internal and external stakeholders, including stations, with regard to scheduling and rights information in a timely, efficient, and diplomatic manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for success:
- 5 years' experience in television programming and scheduling.
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with public television programming.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to proactively address problems and provide recommendations for sound solutions.
- Ability to work as a team player in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
