Job Description:

The Financial Platforms organization of Cox Automotive is currently looking for a Manager, Software Engineering (Oracle ERP) to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The Software Engineering Manager, Oracle ERP is responsible for overseeing a team of Enterprise Application Engineers and Software Test Engineers in support of multiple applications at a multi-billion dollar enterprise. This position is accountable for driving structure, organization, alignment, consistency and scalability to develop best-in class quality solutions across an Oracle EBS ERP platform. The Software Engineering Manager provides thought leadership and strategic direction throughout the entire engineering software development lifecycle and is responsible for leading technical staff (both employees and consultants) in the design, development and delivery of technical solutions. The Manager's team members work within multiple Agile/Scrum delivery teams to deliver comprehensive solutions that integrate different technologies. And the delivery of quality solutions is supported through the development of test script automation by leveraging multiple testing tools. The Cox Automotive platform is built on the Oracle E-Business Application Suite with complex integrations built on the Oracle SOA Suite. This position requires good knowledge of the Oracle EBS platform and the modules supporting Core Financials processes. A solid understanding of accounting and financial business processes are also needed. Your Role:

  • Manages a team of Enterprise Application Engineers and Software Test Engineers, and is responsible for the engineering, architecture alignment, and quality delivery of all solutions worked on by the Agile delivery teams.
  • Ensures that team organization, individual development, and communication are in line with the vision of the company and Financial Platforms.
  • Supports Agile/Scrum delivery teams and fosters inter-team collaboration and productivity.
  • Implements, measures and reports on the execution strategy defined for the software engineering team. Execution includes the solutioning and delivery of planned features, with deliverables that meet development standards with respect to quality, scalability, performance, and reliability. Effectively communicates with key stakeholders when discussing technical solution approaches for business feature and/or technology-driven enhancements.
  • Oversees engineering processes and ability to generate new processes to meet needs. Works closely with leadership on continual process improvement and organizational change to support Agile values.
  • Works closely with others across the business both inside and outside of the technology organization and clearly communicates with individuals and groups having varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Manages career progression for team members to include performance reviews, salary reviews, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Focuses on the big picture and builds a positive and collaborative culture within the delivery teams.
  • Participates in recruiting and hiring.
  • Safeguarding team's focus by managing the external forces and removing obstacles impacting progress.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year experience in a related field; or 18 years' experience in a related field.
  • 7+ years relevant experience with at least 5 years leadership experience in a software development organization working on an Oracle EBS ERP platform, and ideally in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Knowledge and experience working on Oracle EBS modules supporting Core Financials process required (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Project Accounting, Procurement, Fixed Assets).
  • Familiarity and experience leveraging the following products is desired.
    • Oracle WebCenter and Vertex tax engine products
    • SOAP UI Pro and TOSCA automation testing tools
    • Rally Agile delivery software
  • Proven ability to lead and advance technical teams in delivery of enhancements.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing solutions for an Oracle EBS platform through configuration and/or via enhancement extensions.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, make appropriate solution decisions quickly and lead team members to succeed.
  • Experience with Agile principles and delivery approaches.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator.
  • Exceptional and proven leadership skills.
USD 117,300.00 - 195,500.00 per year Compensation: Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
