Essential functions (job duties):
Job Purpose
The Manager, Student Engagement Team develop, manage, and lead all as aspect for the Career Services student programming by collaborating with the schools, colleges, and student organizations. This position will serve as the Manager of the Student Engagement Team and lead the execution of the career preparation, planning and life design for students and alumni.
Essential Functions
Lead Student Engagement Team in the creation, planning and implementation of student focused events including but not limited to workshops, seminars, and learning opportunities.
Collaborate with the Career Services Director to develop a Student Career Ambassador Program as well as oversee training and supervision of the Student Career Ambassadors.
Partner with Employer Engagement Team and faculty after collecting student and alumni feedback on engagement, skills building programming, and program design and logistics to develop an inclusive student career development journey.
Collect data of student engagement with career services professional staff including impact on career readiness and job outcomes.
Identify key desired life design and career readiness needs by industry/major through assessments, current industry trends and define student program offerings to enhance the career to college experience and employment success of students.
Act as a liaison, collaborator, and information resource to the Dean of Students, Office of Multicultural Student Engagement (OMSE), University Advising Center, student organizations and their advisors, and University schools and colleges.
Partner with the Employer Engagement Team to develop new initiatives which will enhance and improve the college to career experience.
Assist in the development, revision and implementation of policies and procedures.
Guide, advise and coach students and assist students with customer service opportunities.
Participate in staff meetings, university committees, student engagement events and campus events.
Create and distribute the Career Services bi-weekly student and alumni newsletter.

Unique duties:
Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's degree
Bachelor's degree in student affairs, higher education administration, marketing, psychology, social work, learning design or a related field from an accredited institution.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience Expert (established subject matter expert, 7+ years experience)
Minimum five to six years of leadership experience.
Experience working with undecided college students preferred.
Experience utilizing and managing career management software preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of student affairs, career development, life design and workforce development.
Supervisory Skills: Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Skill and experience in mentoring and coaching of personnel. Ability to train, develop, assess, and offer feedback to staff members. Skill in development of teamwork among staff members.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries and work successfully with diverse groups of students, faculty, staff, and outside parties. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills including strong public speaking ability.
Ability to independently manage a variety of projects while ensuring appropriate tracking, quality control, follow-up and multiple deadlines are met. Strong time management.
