*The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Center for Information Technology Services*has an exciting opportunity available for a*Functional Manager of Student Enterprise Applications (Manager, Enterprise Application Analysis).*The position manages complex projects involving Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems that require an in-depth understanding of the application functionality, configuration options, integrations, processes, and data flow. It requires the ability to use a variety of complex techniques and tools, and an oversight of related tasks. Specifically, this position manages the functional aspects of Banner, Self-Service Banner, Degree Works, CRM Recruit, Blackboard, Mediasite and AppWorx. The Functional Manager of Student Enterprise Applications works in partnership with the Technical Manager of Student Enterprise Applications and collaborates with upper-level managers in providing leadership and ensuring qualitydeliverables for the campus as well as ongoing support and maintenance. This position offers a remote, hybrid work option.UMB is a public university and constituent institution of the University System of Maryland.Applicants are expected to reside in or be able to relocate to the State of Maryland. Consideration may also be given to residents of the District of Columbia, Delaware, Virginia, or West Virginia. This residency requirement also applies to those performing telework. Exempt regular staff receive a generous leave package that includes over 4 weeks of vacation accrued each year, paid holidays, unlimited accrual of sick time, and comprehensive health insurance; professional learning and development programs; tuition remission for employees and their dependents at any University System of Maryland school; and flexible work schedules and teleworking options (if applicable per job). *Primary Duties:* * Oversees ERP software applications and evaluates campus requirements against available solutions. * Manages team members to ensure project goals are met. * Documents and manages application issues and resolutions. * Manages staff associated with enterprise-wide application implementation and support tasks. * Leads meetings and facilitates discussions with functional staff, technical staff, and campus community to troubleshoot issues and design and implement resolutions. * Acts as a liaison between end users and technical team to address issues and recommend solutions. * Manages staff in order to maximize function and effectiveness of enterprise applications. * Ensures functional documentation is up-to-date. * Manages testing strategies, leveraging contemporary tools and technologies. * Assists in the review, evaluation, and recommendation of objectives, policies, and procedures to ensure that the information systems provided are of high quality, the needs of the particular function are being serviced, and functional efficiency and productivity. * Manages projects involving software systems and applications; ensures adherence to budget and schedule; and oversees effective communications between information systems personnel and campus customers. * Manages functional personnel in alignment with department and campus-wide goals/objectives in order to promote maximum staff member benefit and effectiveness as well as overall functional productivity. * Assists in providing business unit and campus representatives with assessment, training, and advisement in functional areas. * Monitors and reviews ongoing functional programs and controls, assessing needs and facilitating improvements. * Performs other duties as assigned. *Minimum Qualifications:* *Education:*Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,Systems Administration, Computer Engineering or a related field to applications, such as Education Administration, Business, Finance, or Human Resources. *Experience:*Five (5) years of experience in a functional area that required the use of ERP software packages (e.g. Banner, PeopleSoft/Oracle, etc.), or other enterprise wide application software. Extensive experience with all aspects of software development and analysis. *Preferred Experience:*In-depth experience with Ellucian software solutions to include but not limited to: Banner (e.g., Student, Financial Aid, General, Accounts Receivable), Self-Service Banner, Degree Works, CRM Recruit, Ethos, Experience, and/or Intelligent Learning Platform. Additionally, experience with Blackboard (to include Collaborate, Ally, other LTIs) or alternative LMS applications; Mediasite or other lecture-capturing applications; AppWorx or other job automation applications is preferred.** *Supervisory Experience:*One (1) year of experience coordinating the work of others or direct supervisory experience. *Preferred Supervisory Experience:**Prior managerial experience with direct supervision of one or more employees is preferred.***** *Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:* Thorough knowledge of position requirements. Thorough knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems.
