JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for leading a team that provides functional support to the users of the College's Student Information System. Specific functional areas include academic advising, admissions, course and faculty management, curriculum, enrollment, graduation, student records, student recruitment, and student/staff self-service. This position requires both a thorough understanding of the business processes in the above functional areas as well as the underlying technology that delivers this functionality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and management skills, an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, and a deep understanding of data, systems, and process design. This position reports within the Information Technology division but works very closely with functional leaders in Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and other divisions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Serves as the liaison between the Enterprise Systems Development Team and the Functional areas within the institution.
* Manages a team of Information Technology Specialists and Research Specialists who help train and provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and test and maintain the Student Information System (SIS) during new development and application updates.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for effective interaction with team members, supervisors, and the public. Must be able to clearly exchange information, give and receive work directions, and work collaboratively with others.
* Participates in the development of user and operational documentation.
* Research SIS problems; discovers sources of errors; analyzes systems capabilities; implements necessary operational changes; and participates in the development and review of project specifications.
* Coordinates and provides SIS training.
* Serves as the approver for SIS role-based access requests based on the user's job.
* Creates standardized testing scripts for SIS application updates and is responsible for sign-off of changes to the above functional areas before changes are made in production environment.
* Provides excellent customer service to the functional user community.
* Analyzes data and develops reports for decision making.
* Maintain the configuration of numerous setup tables in the Student Information System.
* Coordinates the application and testing of software updates.
* Coordinates ongoing communication and planning with key functional staff and technical support.
* Work with systems administrators of systems which integrate to SPC's Student Information System, e.g. SPC's LMS system.
* May apply application design, development, and deployment using various technologies, frameworks, scripts, coding, and products.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in information systems or a related field; three (3) years of related work experience in area of responsibility; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
