Responsibilities- Determine whether activity on the BetMGM platform constitutes reportable suspicious activity and assign responsibility for completing a Suspicious Activity Disclosure to the appropriate Suspicious Activity Analyst
- Draft and update Standard Operating Procedures to guide relevant processes while maintaining compliance with the regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction within which the company operates
- Proactively identify process improvements to improve the quality and efficient of Suspicious Activity and Fraud reporting and to mitigate the levels of suspicious activity and fraud on the BetMGM platform.
- Work proactively with Risk Operations and Fraud Operations to ensure that fraudulent and suspicious activity on the BetMGM platform is actioned appropriately and escalated for full investigation and potential reporting.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all regulator inquiries and matters dealing with suspicious activity and fraud on the BetMGM platform
- Maintain and analyze data on fraud reported to regulators, identifying notable trends to highlight and potential solutions.
- Conduct regular meetings with key internal stakeholders to provide Suspicious Activity and Fraud-related guidance and to collaborate on addressing areas of potential non-compliance.
- Oversee the work product and professional development of the Suspicious Activity and Fraud Analysts, providing subject matter expertise while addressing areas of improvement and growth, including setting annual goals.
- Act as a liaison point between internal stakeholders and external partners to gather necessary information relating to fraud and complete comprehensive investigations.
- Generate and revise metrics to key performance indicators for the Suspicious Activity Analysts to ensure that their work product is consistent, thorough and timely
- Maintain business as usual functions in existing jurisdictions and ensure updates are made in adherence to rule changes and regulatory directives for Suspicious Activity and Fraud reporting
- Provide guidance in the drafting or revision of Internal Controls as they relate to Suspicious Activity and Fraud reporting while maintaining regulatory compliance with the regulations of existing jurisdictions
- Develop training, quality assurance, and learning and development plans for the Suspicious Activity and Fraud Analysts
- Provide all departments with Suspicious Activity guidance and support
- Work with the various regulatory bodies to address incidents of non-compliance by BetMGM should they occur and help to create and implement remedial plans in the event of such occurrence
- Assists with periodic reviews of products and services, ensuring compliance with regulations or detecting potential areas of non-compliance
Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree, preferred
- Experience with fraud prevention and detection preferred
- Compliance and/or Anti-Money Laundering certification, preferred. (CAMS, CFE)
- Experience in a financial crime's compliance function at a Money Service Business/Financial Services is applicable
- Experience working in an analytical role, utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and interpretation
- Experience utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint to present findings to multi-disciplinary groups
- Understand the stated BetMGM business priorities and help the teamwork toward them
- Ability to work independently, with a high-level of personal initiative and motivation
- Experience in process improvement and procedure writing, to include flow charts utilizing Microsoft Visio
- Working knowledge of regulations under Title 31 of the US Code of Federal Regulations and guidance from the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) a plus
- Ability to communicate proficiently and effectively with stakeholders and team members
- Must be eligible to obtain gaming licenses in respective jurisdictions within 2 weeks of start date
- Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time
The annual salary range for this position is $102,960 to $135,135. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.
Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment.
