Overview:

Topco Associates is currently seeking a Manager, Transparency to join our Transparency team in Itasca, IL. This position will be a hybrid role, with the successful candidate conducting work in our Itasca office three times per week and virtually twice per week.

The Manager, Transparency will oversee project and process-based initiatives across transparency and sustainability and will serve as a key business partner in executing transparency and sustainability strategies. Some of the Managers principal responsibilities will be (1) to develop processes, scale, and manage Topcos intermediate landing pages, (2) collect, organize, analyze and report on sustainability data, and (3) operationalize the How2Recycle program. In owning these areas, the Manager will coordinate with key stakeholders, develop process maps and implement processes, oversee specific initiatives, and synthesize data to develop actionable insights. The Manager will need to possess problem solving, communication, collaboration, and change management skills.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Intermediate Landing Pages-Intermediate landing pages provide direct-to-consumer transparency through the scan of a QR code. Oversight of these pages involves significant collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, content development vision, process development and implementation skills, impeccable organization, and passion/leadership to scale.

Sustainability Data and Metrics-Oversight of sustainability data requires collecting baseline impact data, managing a data repository, synthesizing large data sets, identifying gaps and filling them, developing useful reports, and carefully analyzing data to draw valuable insights and conclusions.

How2Recycle-Partner with internal and external stakeholders to operationalize How2Recycle so that it becomes a seamless and integrated step when reformulating or developing new items. Create the process to capture packaging changes that might impact How2Recycle labels. Manage the How2Recycle partnership and program once implemented.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Liberal Science or related field

Technical skills:

  • Project Management 3 or more years experience, must have proven experience leading and managing projects
  • Process Development must possess an understanding of business structures and dependencies and think creatively to develop and implement new processes; Demonstrated process mapping experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically seeking expertise in Excel allowing for creation of spreadsheets summarizing complex, large data sets.

Previous Experience:

  • 3 + years managing projects with increasing responsibility and ownership
  • Demonstrated experience leading and executing on strategic initiatives
