Job Description Leads a team of User Experience professionals to develop processes, strategies, and solutions that will meet organizational goals, and enhance the patient and customer experience. Acts at all levels from tactical to strategic to help enable seamless experiences anywhere on any device by delivering creative, effective, and efficient experiences. Learns, develops, teaches, and evolves methodologies and procedures used in the discovery, analysis, and development to ensure that experiences meet high standards of usability, accessibility, and design excellence. Job Responsibility Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee the creation of comprehensive experience maps for both in-person and digital interactions, ensuring a seamless and engaging user journey.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of experience design initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize customer feedback and analytics to continuously refine and optimize the user experience.
  • Champion a user-centric design approach, utilizing user research, personas, and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for enhancing user experiences across all touchpoints, driving consistency and quality in both digital and physical environments.
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of experience designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
1.Leads cross-functionally across various UX teams and other departments in order to implement solutions that will enhance all interactions across Northwell's platforms and builds consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function, or geographic area.2.Supports their leader in the development, oversight, and implementation of a strategic vision for areas of responsibility.3.Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines approach, resources, schedules, and goals.4.Provides leadership to team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives; tracks design progress, identifies potential issues, and proactively works on solutions; reports out to, and collaborates with senior leadership on progress, areas for improvements, and potential issues.5.Conducts briefings and departmental meetings, and maintains frequent contact with other managers.6.Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; oversees the selection, development, management, and evaluation of indirect reports; builds effective, collaborative working relationships with program strategy, program management, and development.7.Oversees team members in defining requirements and utilizing those requirements to identify the root cause of users' problems and guides the team member to create experiences that solve the issues and fulfill the requirements while identifying and mitigating dependencies, and risks.8.Contributes to the creation, prioritization, and selection of features by actively participating in various product discussion sessions and creative concept processes, and produces high-quality solutions in close collaboration with researchers, managers, engineers, and stakeholders.9.Conceptualizes end-to-end user experiences that reflect coherent and truthful stories; creates effective models that reflect those experiences through design artifacts such as journey maps, process flows, personas, and more.10.Plans, moderates and facilitates workshops and other group activities to identify problems and opportunities, ideate, or create alignment across teams.11.Keeps abreast and has a passion for the latest trends in the UX field, bringing relevant ideas and design paradigms back to the team, while evangelizing UX principles throughout the organization and providing thought leadership.12.Operates under limited guidance; work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on the course of action.13.Ensures operating compliance with government and agency regulations.14.Performs related duties as required.
