The Warehouse Manager will foster a team environment that focuses on serving the customer, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, while driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, customer service, productivity, and engagement.We are seeking a motivated individual who can be a leader and thrive in an exciting and challenging environment. Warehousing operation and 3rd Party Logistics management knowledge and experience is important, but the ideal candidate will also possess a proven track record of strong customer service and the ability to engage, develop, and inspire teams.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee daily operations including:Safety, quality, and productivityTroubleshooting and Continuous ImprovementDevelop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization and shipping methodsOversee all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, and managing returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are metDevelop and lead a high performing Warehouse Leadership Team to actively engage frozen warehouse employees. Manage direct reports through clear expectation-setting and consistent, formal, and informal communication and feedbackManage network frozen inventory needs through VDF storage space and by managing relationships with 3PL frozen warehouses within the networkIdentify and negotiate new frozen storage 3PL providers as needed.Maintain our rigorous Standard Operating Procedures for proper receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of inventoryEnsure that inventory is accurate and organized with consistent and accurate ERP transactions and adherence to the cycle count processChampion Lean principles to ensure use of data to ensure problems are being effectively solved or escalated, and team is actively identifying and pursuing continuous improvementMeet regularly with warehouse personnel to analyze productivityHire, retain and develop employeesEnsure that all safety procedures are followed. Work with the WH Safety Coordinator to continually improve safety awareness, behaviors, and conditionsDesign and implement staffing strategies to ensure work force is efficient and flexible and can respond to variations in workflow while meeting daily, weekly, monthly needsEnsure the company\'s physical assets (building, material handling equipment, inventory, etc.) are properly maintained, protected, and utilizedEnsure all records and reports regarding warehouse activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintainedCreate, maintain and communicate metrics and standards in accordance with facility and corporate goalsEnsure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damageCoordinate the disposition of the undeliverable freight, damage, and shortage discrepanciesEnsure proper food safety practices are maintainedSupport employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career development. Identify and support training and development opportunitiesWork closely with HR Business Partner to maintain an engaging atmosphere and address/escalate personnel issuesOther duties as requestedJOB EXPERIENCE:5+ years supervisory and warehouse manage ent experienceExperience within ERP, TMS (Transportation Management System) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) systemsExperience with 3PL managementKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Management/Leadership skills.Developed listening, verbal, and written communication skills.Organizational and detail skills.Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.Must be a problem-solver who demonstrates good judgement.Familiarity with the use of Lean principles.Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Scanners, Desktop computersDriver\'s license required.Ability to read/write/speak English.Forklift certified.Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plusEDUCATION:High school diploma or GEDAssociate/bachelor\'s degree preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodationWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hearThis position may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand
